Our NZ pork ribs 1kg are meaty, flavourful cuts perfect for a range of cooking styles — from classic BBQ ribs to oven-baked or slow-cooked dishes. Sourced from the Duroc and Hampshire breeds, these ribs deliver great texture and flavour that suit shared meals, weekend feasts or family dinners.

Best Ways to Cook Pork Ribs

BBQ / Grill: Season generously, grill over medium heat with indirect cooking, and baste with sauce until tender and caramelised.

Oven Bake: Preheat oven to 160–170 °C. Bake ribs wrapped in foil for 2–2½ hours until tender, then glaze and finish under high heat for colour.

Slow Cook / Crockpot: Combine ribs with seasoning and sauce, and slow cook on low for 6–8 hours until falling-off-the-bone tender.

Tip: For extra flavour, marinate overnight or use a dry rub before cooking.

Never fail

We have served these to guests and they never fail to impress - seemed like a smaller pig this time but a tasty meal - we try different marinates - a sticky teryaki is the favourite at the moment.
