Best Ways to Cook Pork Ribs
BBQ / Grill: Season generously and cook over medium heat using indirect grilling. Baste with sauce to create caramelised bbq ribs or prepare as char siu pork ribs.
Oven Bake: For cooking pork ribs in oven, preheat to 160–170°C. Wrap ribs in foil and bake for 2–2½ hours until tender, then glaze and finish uncovered for colour. Ideal for pork ribs in oven or roast spare ribs.
Slow Cook / Crockpot: Prepare as pork ribs in crock pot or slow cooker pork ribs by combining with seasoning and sauce. Cook on low for 6–8 hours until tender.
Tip: Marinating overnight or applying a dry rub before cooking enhances flavour, whether preparing smoked ribs, oven-baked ribs or slow-cooked dishes.
