A simple yet comforting roast for the whole family. Delight your loved ones with this easy-to-prepare roast that brings everyone together.
Ingredients
1kg of Angus Beef Topside Roast
1 tbsp plain flour
1 tsp dried mixed herb (or other herbs preferred)
Salt and pepper to taste
Steps
Preheat the oven to 220°C.
Pat the beef dry.
Combine the herbs, salt, pepper and olive oil into a paste, and rub on the beef.
Place the beef on the pan.
Roast at 220°C for 15 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 180°C.
Continue roasting for an additional 1 hour for medium-rare, or adjust the time based on your preferred doneness.
Remove the beef from the oven and cover loosely with aluminum foil. Let it rest for 15-20 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.
Tips
Slice the beef topside roast against the grain into thin slices.
To make it a more balanced diet, roast the beef with some root vegetables such as potato, pumpkin and carrot.
