This recipe is so simple to make with the air-fryer, saving time and efforts to put the dinner to the table. It turns the boring drumsticks into a mouthwatering dinner masterpiece! Combine the drumsticks and half packet of the marinade together, massage for a few minutes and leave it for at least 30 minutes or overnight.

Spray the air-fryer basket with oil or layer it with a piece of baking paper, then layer the drumsticks in the basket without overlapping or stacking. Reserve the marinade juice.

Bake the drumsticks for 15 minutes at 180°C.

Brush the drumsticks with the remaining marinade juice, turn around, and brush again. Extra marinade (from the remaining packet) can be brushed on if a sweeter taste is desired.

Bake for another 10 minutes at 180°C, or 8 minutes at 180°C and 2 minutes at 200°C for a more caramelized taste.

To Serve

Hot steam rice, noodles, tortillas or even a salad.


This recipe can be prepared with an oven or a deep fryer. The drumstick can be swapped with other type of meat preferred.

Leftover (though I doubt there will be any), can be made into pulled chicken for the lunch wrap or taco the next day!
